Alpaca 500gsm versus merino wool 700gsm winter weight quilt
Spongier, more aerated texture compared to wool 700gsm which is denser and HEAVIER. Haven't used it yet as it is still too warm in early March but expect it to be warmer than the wool 700gsm quilt.
The alpaca cotton quilt cover seems coarser (open weave?) compared to casings for goose down and wool quilt. Unsure how durable is this cotton casing.
